  • About Old Tuffy: NC State University and New Belgium Brewing Company have announced an agreement that will provide annual support to student-success initiatives and research projects and help further develop the fermentation science program at the university. As part of the agreement, New Belgium has been granted licensing rights to brew Old Tuffy Premium Lager which will be available in retail outlets throughout North Carolina beginning in August 2019. The collaboration between NC State and New Belgium will support student opportunities including internships and traineeships that provide hands-on experience for individuals interested in the brewing industry, and participation in job-placement activities and executive level leadership speaker events. New Belgium will also partner with the university to develop a student-focused "Responsible Consumption of Alcohol" program.
